Broadly, I am interested in understanding how large-scale neural activity patterns and interactions between the hippocampus and widespread regions support episodic memory. My PhD work with Joel Voss at Northwestern University focused on episodic memory and the hippocampal-cortical network, using TMS to causally manipulate memory processing, functional fMRI connectivity, and evoked fMRI activation. As a postdoc at Columbia University working with Lila Davachi and Josh Jacobs, I am investigating how the hippocampus and its network of interconnected cortical regions are causally involved in the encoding and reinstatement of memories and navigation-related behaviors, using fMRI, iEEG, and brain stimulation.
